Colm Deignan

Colm is a Chartered Accountant and has spent over thirty years helping clients overcome problems. He was a partner in a large multi-disciplinary practice.

His experience as a  corporate finance partner is particularly relevant as he has been advisor in a very varied number of projects in differing industries including International NGO’s, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Manufacturing, Public Relations, Hospitality and Service Companies.

Colm has served on the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

He is a former board member and Chair of Draiocht – a centre for the Arts in Blanchardstown.

He has carried out over thirty Valuations of trading companies who for one reason or another needed to realise value for shareholders.

Colm has advised a local authority in relation to CPO claims by affected trading parties on a National Primary Route.

He has successfully mediated a dispute involving a number of family shareholders who wished to exit a family business.

He has advised and represented a party in a breach of contract dispute which went to arbitration.

He has acted as an arbitrator in a dispute relating to earn-out payments arising from a share sale agreement.

Colm has successfully mediated a family re-organisation involving the dividing up of a diverse group of businesses amongst family members.

He has carried out Expert Witness work in an arbitration between a local authority and a developer and a purchaser.

He has successfully mediated a dispute involving a sports club and a player concerning personal injuries whilst playing for the club.
